To think of a career, it is common to think of one vocation over a long period of time. To attain this one vocation, it is common to think of one university over a long period of time [ask Mum and Dad]. Unfortunately, one vocation for a long period of time is no longer a reality in our world today [ask yourself].
Job security in any field today is virtually nil. The best security is to be well prepared for insecurity. One university over a long period of time is not good preparation for the ever-changing world. After four years of time and investment, the majority of graduates do not get a job in their field of study! Character, leadership skills, broad life experience and international exposure are the BOLD headings looked for on a résumé today. Combine these with a basic liberal arts education, and you are prepared for now, as well as for the future.
Youth With A Mission is a mission agency, but it celebrated 25 years of university training in 2001. The Institute for the Nations is government-accredited training that combines character, leadership skills, life experience and international exposure in the context of the liberal arts. This means a certificate, diploma or degree in any one of the seven colleges and faculties: Christian Ministries; Humanities and International Studies; Science and Technology; Arts; Communications; Education; Counselling and Health Care.
Courses are modular, which means one subject is offered in a 12-week intensive, live-in environment. These subjects can be taken at more than 15 locations in Australia or in over 150 countries around the world within the global University of the Nations network! After two, four or more years, you will hold a certificate, diploma or degree in one of the seven colleges, plus have the character, leadership skills, life experience and international exposure needed in this world today.
