Event Description
What: Schoolies festival is a celebration of the Year 12 student. A mark of the transition from student to something else. It is a 3 day full on celebration that allows the year 12's to party in a drug and alcohol free environment.
Why: As in other states people started to congregate and have an alcohol based weekend. The churches of South Australia got together and began to organise the festival, so that it would be safe and affordable. The churches provide about 400 volunteers from many different backgrounds who work together to provide the students with a real hands on experience of meeting Jesus.
What we do: YWAM does a combination of picking up rubbish, and having evangelistic relationships with students.
